Adult Medicaid benefits have been restored

As of October 1, 2010 dental benefits for Michigan Medicaid recipients have been restored to the same level of coverage that was present two years ago. This means that recipients 21 and over are covered for cleanings, exams, x-rays and dentures.

The Michigan Legislature approved a budget which included enough money to get federal money which could allow for restoration of benefits. Most people feel that it will be difficult to maintain benefits for more than one year, given the severe budget restraints in Michigan,

But for now, claims can be sent and paid by Medicaid. Our computers have been updated to reflect this, and we are ready to schedule patients
